Unveiling the All-New 2024 Renault Duster Interior, Powertrain, Features and Price

2024 Renault Duster india

Renault has officially introduced the 2024 Duster, scheduled to debut in the Indian market later this year. The design closely resembles the Dacia Duster, with subtle logo and branding modifications, providing a distinctive touch, according to Indian Auto News Blogs. Powertrain details for the Indian version are yet to be revealed, creating anticipation among enthusiasts eager to explore the driving capabilities of this revamped model.

In India's competitive compact SUV segment, Renault aims to carve its niche with the all-new Duster. Despite its global debut as a Dacia product, the Indian variant proudly features the Renault badge. With a bold front fascia adorned by the iconic diamond logo, the Duster maintains its commanding presence, practical dimensions, and a reputation for conquering diverse terrains.

The highly anticipated Duster, originally unveiled under Renault's subsidiary, Dacia, now enters the market with Renault branding. Initial images have stirred excitement, offering a glimpse into the impressive design and functionality of this overhauled crossover.

Renowned as the pioneer of the compact-size SUV market in India, the Duster, discontinued in 2020, is making a comeback. The upcoming Duster, set for launch next year, aims to continue the legacy that began with its groundbreaking introduction at a price point of approximately Rs 8 lakhs (ex-showroom), as Renault seeks to revive the success of this path-breaking SUV in the evolving Indian car market.

The Duster undergoes significant technological and comfort enhancements inside. Upgraded trims feature a sophisticated 7-inch digital instrument cluster and a spacious 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system (similar to XForce), offering wireless CarPlay and Android Auto functionality, ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, and a digital instrument cluster for a contemporary and interconnected driving experience. The driver-centric layout ensures a focused and engaging atmosphere, while lower-tier variants are expected to adopt a more traditional setup.

In 2025, the Renault Duster's interior design aligns with its Romanian counterpart, the Dacia Duster, with subtle distinctions like the steering wheel emblems. Premium models feature advanced elements such as a 7-inch virtual dashboard and a prominently positioned 10.1-inch touchscreen multimedia system for convenient access. The tablet and center console layout prioritize the driver, enhancing the overall driving experience. While specifics about the entry-level variants' interiors remain undisclosed, expectations point towards analog instruments and a simpler configuration.

Under the hood, the Duster offers a trio of petrol engines. The leading option is a 1.6-liter petrol engine coupled with an automatic gearbox and two electric motors, delivering 140bhp/148Nm and an impressive mileage of 24.5 km. The second choice features a mild-hybrid 1.2-liter three-cylinder petrol engine paired with a 48V electric motor, providing an output ranging from 110bhp to 160bhp. This variant boasts 4X4 technology and multiple driving modes, available with a choice of a six-speed manual or a six-speed AT. The third engine, less likely for the Indian market, is a three-cylinder turbocharged petrol/LPG compatible unit matched with a six-speed manual transmission. The Duster aims to cater to diverse preferences with engine options, including a fuel-efficient 1.0-liter TCe gasoline engine for everyday practicality, a 1.2-liter TCe mild-hybrid with all-wheel drive for those seeking more power, and the top-tier E-Tech hybrid combining a 1.6-liter engine with an electric motor for environmentally conscious drivers.

Renault Duster Features and Launch Date in India

Anticipated safety features include a minimum of six airbags to comply with upcoming regulations, along with ESC, traction control, ABS with EBD, and a 360-degree reverse camera. On the convenience front, expectations are high with LED headlamps, 17-inch wheels, a cutting-edge 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system (akin to XForce) supporting wireless CarPlay and Android Auto. The interior is set to boast ambient lighting, a digital instrument cluster, and a panoramic sunroof. With a generous 450 liters of boot space and the convenience of an electric tailgate, the Duster aims to offer a seamless blend of safety and comfort. While the release date remains undisclosed, speculations suggest a potential launch in 2025.
