Kasoombo Movie Review: A Cinematic Journey Through History

Kasoombo Movie

Kasoombo Movie

In Kasoombo, the Barot community from Adipur village bravely faces Alauddin Khilji's invasion of Shetrunjai mountain. This captivating film, based on Vimalkumar Dhami’s novel "Amar Balidan" and brought to life by Vijaygiri Bava, skillfully captures the essence of history, grace, and memorable tunes.

The movie's engaging story, featuring impactful dialogues by writer Raam Mori, seamlessly blends with Mehul Surti's music and background score. Transporting viewers to the 14th century, the film recreates temples and palaces, enhancing its visual appeal with impressive VFX.

Exploring Saurashtra's history, the movie sheds light on the worship of Dhingana and the significance of Veeralas as paliyas. A memorable song line echoes Gujarat's golden history, penned by talented poets.

Produced on a budget of around Rs 15 Crores, Kasoombo covers production costs, advertising, taxes, and cast payments. The 14th-century Yashgatha unfolds, narrating the heroic tale of the Barot community's sacrifices to safeguard Shetrunjai mountain.

Amar and Suzal's characters embody bravery and sacrifice, leading the charge against Khilji. Adinath's act of protecting his grandfather and sacrificing for the motherland sets the stage for a compelling narrative. The village's youth, always ready for martyrdom, and the courageous women who join the battlefield add depth to the story.

Kasoombo stands out in Gujarati cinema history, blending a large-scale production with a high-quality climax. Catering to a diverse audience, it offers a cinematic treat for history enthusiasts, garba lovers, and fans of heroic tales. For those eager to explore Gujarat's history and celebrate valor, Kasoombo is a must-watch with family and friends.
